Ajibu Community Academy is a community school located in Mayuge district, rural Eastern Uganda. Established within a fishing community, the school serves both local learners and the broader education ecosystem.

The school has two core purposes:

1. Increase access to quality, learner-centered education for children in the local community.
2. Function as a testing hub for designing, testing, and refining Play-Based and Project-Based Learning approaches.

Through Ajibu Community Academy, we provide formal pre-primary and primary school education while continuously developing and testing teaching methods, classroom practices, and learning resources in real classroom settings.

The insights and evidence generated from the model school directly inform Ajibu community’s teacher training programs, learning resources, and school partnerships. This ensures that everything we deliver has been tested in practice and adapted to local contexts, and proven to support meaningful learning.
